Whether it's stalking our latest obsession or stretching our vocal chords for that perfect falsetto, the Cheeguz are not the ones to take defeat EASILY! A trait that’s being put to the ultimate grind at Nepal Music Center, ask how? Well quite recently we enrolled ourselves into western vocals and it is so challenging. Singing is tough and we have developed newfound respect for even them bubble gum pop singers. 

Twice a week we make our attendance at NMC; that’s constantly buzzing with musicians, singers and some singer-wannabes (hint, hint) to sharpen our vocal range and the art of socializing; the former is really satisfying, the latter is most productive. You can’t even imagine, the amount of dirt we get to vacuum at the canteen area, it’s news heaven!! By the way for those who didn’t know singer Lochan Rijal is the principal of the very institute, whom we happened to stumble upon on our last tea break. Lanky frame clad in denim, sporting a Mohawk, he’s not your “usual” headmaster but don’t let looks fool you… he’s a man with genuine love for music!

An artist with plethora of awards to show off his prowess in music, Rijal has always been the darling of award shows. In fact quite recently he bagged Best Rock Composition at the 13th Hits FM Music Awards for his single “Prashna”. Now we fall in the bracket of fans when it comes to this gentle giant, and anytime there’s news about his work, we go gaga. So here’s breaking the news exclusively on cybersansar.com, Lochan Rijal is in the process of recording his new single “Kaso”. Something new, something totally different from his previous work; it’ll be orchestrated using traditional instruments, and will also be done in acoustic style backed by guitar and sarangi. And for those patiently waiting to see him on screen, good news ahoy!! Videos for “Sparsha” and “Maanis” are ready and are slated for release very soon. Now we would have liked nothing better than continue our little chit chat session… but it was cut off in the middle and we were kindly but firmly ordered back into class.
