An initiation…a simple step is what it takes to create wonders…to achieve aims so big maybe even more than you imagined. We would be extremely grateful to anyone who does so for that leads to “innovation” which our society is in great need of. And holding the very mantra of innovation is Kids Care International Preschool, an associate of Mother Care International Preschool.

Founded and run by Ms. Sapna Thapa, Mother Care has been operating in Baluwatar, Kathmandu for 15 years and is the only preschool in the country to adopt Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum in guidance with British Preschool System endorsed by Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF). Having undergone various professional development courses in EYFS from the Institute of Education, University of London as part of her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Ms Thapa leads the Teachers Training Division as its Academic Director. Mostly educated women are encouraged to undertake the training based on EYFS philosophy whose four principles are 1. Unique Child, 2. Positive Relationships, 3. Enabling environments and 4. Learning and Development.

Now getting back to Kids Care, it organized an Open House for parents, well wishers and children at Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur on Sunday, 7th March 2010. The aim of the organization, which is being franchised all over Nepal, is to offer solutions for preschools in the country with the assistance of both highly talented professionals from the field of child education and experts with abundant experience in corporate and strategic environment.

With the vision of setting new standards for preschool education in Nepal, Kids Care plans to optimize quality in all of their deliveries and we hope their concept of “Shared growth, Shared responsibility and Shared Success” helps them accomplish their mission because we’re sure it’s also going to assist in our further national development as a whole.
